Our Hammocks provide the maximum relaxation,so let the fine swinging motion and everlasting floating midair begin
Nylon
Fabrics
Generally,
these cooler temperatures, which are often drier
and accompanied by more air movement, do not cause
serious condensation or clamminess problems even
though the fabric is now sealed against the passage
of air.
Note
that the bug net is generally left at home in
these colder, insect-free conditions; this provides
greater airflow inside the hammock and helps solve
the condensation problems of warm weather. Now
that the bottom of the hammock is sealed against
the passage of cold air, a sleeping bag is called
on to block cold air on the top.
With the return of warm weather, the vapor-proof
treatments are easily removed by washing the hammock
using any detergent and fabric softener. It may
take multiple washings to fully remove the treatments;
wash your hammock only in front-loading tumbler-type
machines to avoid tangling the straps and lines.
In this way, the same hammock functions in both
cold and hot weather.
However,
additional measures are often necessary to stay
warm in cold weather-see "How To Stay Warm."
For additional warmth, appropriate sleeping bags
and/or sleep pads can be used in the hammock (again.
see the "How To Stay Warm" websection
for specifics). A small pillow made from spare
clothes in a carry sack completes the comfort
of my airbed.
