Proper
Hammock Support
With
experience, you will soon take notice of slight
ifferences in how the hammock is hanging. Once
ccupied, even a perfectly centered hammock as
:.escribed above will hang lower at the head end
than at foot end since your head and upper torso
are heavier -:nan your feet (at least mine are).
Generally this is not a roblem and may not even
be noticed by the user.
In
addition, if the two tie-outs are not the same
.ngth, the end with the longer tie-out will hang
lower n the shorter end; a similar pattern results
if the two outs are attached at different heights
above the ound.
Adjusting Comfort
ese
features can actually be used to adjust the -ammock
for one's personal preferences. For instance,
efer to have my foot end slightly higher than
my head d since it helps the blood circulation
in my poor feet after a long day of hiking. It
also prevents my usual sliding toward the foot
end of the hammock over the course of the night.
Therefore
I often raise my foot end tie-out a few inches
and/or shorten it. Caution: While adding to my
comfort, this has had disastrous effects when
using my pee bottle during the night......!
